I had to ask - is it legal to carry open beer bottles in Hamburg?
I see people carry and drinking from open beer bottles everywhere in the city, so I had to look it up. Beer is an important part of German culture. The tax rates for alcoholic beverages in Germany are below average compared to the rest of Europe and there are very few regulations governing availability. Drinking in public is generally legal and considered socially normal. Above photo is from the subway.
Today we are in the second largest city in all of Indonesia, Surabaya. The Port is huge and busy, as there are tons of freightors and ferries here. We had a warm welcome when we pulled in yesterday evening.

I really wanted to treat the Spa Manager Stacy and our Entertainment Manager Kelly, to a fun, non-stressful event that they could truly enjoy! Stacy had never seen elephants before and her squeal of delight, when we first laid eyes on them was pure joy!
